Bold Matte lip colors are certainly one of the biggest trends of the season. As we approach winters, it becomes uncomfortable to wear matte lipsticks as it cracks, flakes and chaps the lips. So, I was on the lookout for comfortable formulas,but ones which are still very matte. One such range is the Faces Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayons which were launched a few months back.

The Faces Ultime Pro Lip Crayon come in a chubby pencil form with a clear cap. I am totally fond of lip crayons as they make lining + filling in the lips such an easy task. The pencils are color coded , hence identification becomes an easy task in your vanity ( in case you own more than one) . It needs to be sharpened. Lip crayons are already a little heavy on pocket, so wastage due to sharpening is a bit too much. The lip crayons come with a free sharpener. yayayayy
The shade that I have is the Faces Matte Lip Crayon in Midnight Rose. This one is definitely the color of the season and I’m pretty sure it will be their hottest selling lip color!!! Its a deep Ox-Red color.
After MAC Ruby Woo. the only red that has been able to woo me is; Midnight Rose. The shade would flatter all skintones ; especially dusky beauties and is perfect for the winters.
Texture and pigmentation:
The Faces Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayons have a smooth formula which glides easily on the lips. Its not hydrating but it definitely does not feel dry. It is one of those rare comfortable matte formulas. It has amazing color payoff. A single swipe is enough for oh-la-la lips
